Are you passionate about the accuracy and integrity of patient health records? We’re looking for a detail-driven HIM Technician to bring their expertise to our Central Scan Team at our Boise Plaza. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure our electronic medical records (EMR) are complete, compliant, and accessible—making a real impact on patient care every day.

 

Schedule

This team provides support Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You can expect your 8-hour shift to land within these hours of operation.

 

What You Can Expect

  • Take charge of managing electronic medical records with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Verify, import, prepare, scan, and maintain patient health documents in a timely manner.

  • Review medical records for completeness and regulatory compliance.

  • Monitor document indexing queues and ensure correct filing within the EMR.
  • Accurately document and transcribe health information, including creating new encounters and orders.

  • Perform other related duties as needed to support our mission.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of health information management systems.

  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all applicable laws and policies.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Prior experience in HIM or a related healthcare documentation role is preferred.
