Day in the Life: 

The Process Control Specialist provides support with the development, implementation and on-going support of a proactive process control program. Helps to mitigate risk and respond to regulatory agencies and SLHS employees on compliance questions and/or issues.

 

What to Expect: 

 

  • Assists in the development and implementation of the annual risk-based compliance work plan.
  • Assists in investigations of potential process control incidents, including collaboration with nursing, pharmacy, compliance, etc. leadership regarding incidents. Investigation activities include participating in incident assessments, interviews, phone calls, meetings with involved parties, and summary evaluation of information and data.
  • Assists in the design and delivery of training and orientation to staff and applicable business associates.
  • Assists in updating of existing policies and drafts new policies as needed.
  • Assists with documenting incidents in an incident log, including maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders on process control issues, including the implementation of standards and requirements.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable federal and state laws to ensure ongoing compliance by the organization.

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience: 3 years relevant experience
