Overview

Systems Analyst 1 (Asset & Inventory Management Focus)

 

Summary:

The Systems Analyst 1 supports asset and inventory management operations across the IT lifecycle. This includes hardware procurement, warehousing, depot processing, audit compliance, and vendor coordination. The analyst reviews operational needs, evaluates workflows, and contributes to systems design, implementation, and support of IT compute device inventory and lifecycle management solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in the configuration and support of systems used to track, manage, and optimize IT assets across their lifecycle.
  • Contribute to procurement strategies and asset deployment planning by supporting data analysis and reporting functions.
  • Support and help maintain SOPs related to asset auditing, hardware warehousing, depot intake/output, and hardware retirement.
  • Implement and upgrade systems in accordance with project specifications and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to test and validate IT asset tracking systems and processes.
  • Identify and diagnose issues related to inventory discrepancies, vendor coordination gaps, or lifecycle tracking; prioritize and escalate as necessary.
  • Communicate operational impacts, improvement opportunities, and progress to asset management leadership and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors (e.g., CDW, Insight) to coordinate equipment orders, deliveries, returns, and repair services.
  • Maintain and contribute to documentation for systems support, user training, and process validation.
  • Follow St. Luke’s protocols to ensure safety, security, and compliance across asset-related systems and processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Entry-level to intermediate knowledge in IT asset tracking systems, procurement processes, and hardware lifecycle workflows.
  • Ability to handle basic issues independently; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and Excel-based reporting.

 

Preferred Experience :

  • Familiarity with IT hardware
  • Warehousing
  • Supply Chain Functions
  • Ordering, receiving and tracking IT hardware
