Day in the Life:

St. Luke’s is looking for a full-time Medication Historian Technician to join our team sitting in Boise, Idaho. Medication Historian Technicians work directly with our patients reviewing their medication history with them at the bedside. MHT’s reach out to our patient’s pharmacy to review their lists of recently filled medications and with current providers to obtain their most up to date medication history. This allows our technicians to review their medication lists for discrepancies, have changes validated by pharmacists and work closely with the attending providers offering feedback of major findings that may have been missed. Medication historian technicians work in a dynamic environment with other interdepartmental disciplines like inpatient pharmacist, nurses, and case management/social work to provide the highest, safest quality of care available.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2 years' experience
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License in state of practice
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
