Overview

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is looking for a Children’s Practice Director to join our St. Luke’s Children’s Mental and Behavioral Health service line team.

 

Unit/Position Summary:

The Practice Director 2 is responsible for providing leadership, direction, support and administration for clinics, programs and services. This includes physicians, providers, direct reports and team members.  This position implements business plans, creates clear operational plans for the practice, including marketing, facilities, technology, human resources, finance and patient care.

 

The following programs are included in this scope of work: Children’s Mental Health-Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient program (IOP), Consult Liaison Service, Neuro and Behavioral Psychology, Developmental Pediatrics, Pediatric Palliative Care, and Victim Services that include Children at Risk Evaluation Services (CARES), Family Advocacy Center & Education Services (FACES), and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE).

 

The role works with a Medical Director partner who provides clinical oversight to all of these programs.  The Practice Director 2 also works closely with site medical/program directors to further advance initiatives and programming.  Direct leadership of 30+ team members with oversight includes over 100 employees. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leads and directs the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring the organization’s strategic objectives are translated into tactical goals and objectives.
  • Works closely with and reports to the Behavioral Health and Children’s Service Line Administrators and System Medical Directors.
  • Provides administrative oversight for planning, directing, coordinating and controlling overall operations and professional support services of the practice.
  • Develops and implements key components of strategy and direction for the practices.
  • Directs and manages the practice's financial performance. Takes actions to increase revenue, leverage resources, manage expenses and ensure compliance with all business and administrative regulations.
  • Directly manages physicians, APPs, and department leadership, to include on-boarding, credentialing, coding and training.
  • Works with Provider Compensation Team to support compensation adjustments
  • Manages and provides leadership to the practice team by monitoring and ensuring clinical, operational and performance management goals are being met in accordance with regulatory requirements (TJC).
  • Collaborates with leaders to deliver results around patient outcomes, clinical risks and quality, case management, utilization management, physician satisfaction, and patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in specialty workgroups (such as School Based care, Medical Operations groups, Adaptive Care Team initiatives) as appropriate.
  • Community facing support on Provider Advisory Council meetings with Optum and Magellan, DHW/Medicaid
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: 7 years’ relevant experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Experience in pediatric behavior health.
