Overview

Senior Coordinator, Community Programs:  Injury Prevention & Child Wellness 

Responsible for the daily operations and decision making that support St. Luke’s Children’s Service Line Injury Prevention & Child Wellness team, programs and initiatives. 

  • Conducts assessments and researches best practices, to create and develop programs appropriate for injury prevention. Coordinates and implements evidence-informed policies, programs, practices, and events. Assists leadership with assessing risks and researching opportunities. Supports initiatives related to pediatric trauma across the system and directly for the Boise pediatric trauma program.   
  • Prepares and maintains project plans, tracks project progress, and prepares reports for clients or project stakeholders. Implements changes meant to improve performance or efficiencies to support injury prevention across SLHS 
  • Completes or monitors organizational functions or processes, ensuring that they are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with established policies and regulations. Serves as the liaison for the program between the organization and collaborative partners whether in the community or employer setting.  
  • Collects and develops reports based on findings of program data and creates programs in response to injury findingsParticipate in evaluation methods for use in program planning and reporting.  
  • May lead team members and direct workflow, staff assignments and resources to achieve department goals. May design and deliver presentations, workshops and written materials regarding program to clients or project stakeholders.  
  • May prepare and organize conferences or events for the program.  
  • May participate in workgroups or committees with staff and members of the community at an individuals, employers/businesses and local/ regional or state agency organizational level. May develop, manage, and report on budget while ensuring fiscal responsibility.  
  • May write, coordinate and submit grant requests for funding to support program activities. Works closely with the grant office and Foundation for required reporting. Seeks additional resources, both direct financial support and donations of in-kind goods and services, to support program activities.  
  • May create and update websites, blogs and internet communications, organize news conferences and media events around program issues, activities, and/or products in the community or employer-setting.  
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelors degree  
  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience 
  • Licenses/Certifications: None 

 

Preference: 

  • Bachelors/Masters Public Health 
  • Injury prevention coordinator experience 
  • Experience leading people (this position requires management over an existing team and program that is in place).
