Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily productivity and coordination of the pharmacy technical staff. While the final verification of technician work remains under the authority of a licensed pharmacist, this leadership role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmacy operations.

This position supports both the Boise Medical Center and Boise Headquarters at St. Luke’s Plaza and requires schedule flexibility to meet operational needs.

What You Can Expect:

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians involved in compounding, preparation, and processing of medications for pharmacist verification.

  • Provide clear guidance, coaching, and instruction to technical staff.

  • Monitor and manage workflow to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely task completion.

  • Lead and participate in continuous performance improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with employee evaluations, corrective actions, and other HR-related responsibilities in partnership with department leadership.

  • Create, manage, and publish staff schedules.

  • Develop and implement staff training programs and ensure competency validation.

  • Ensure all technician duties are completed as assigned and aligned with pharmacy goals and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of pharmacy technician experience

  • Licensure/Certification:

    • Valid Pharmacy Technician Registration in the state of practice

    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
