St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Coding Quality and Education to join our Physician Services Coding team in Boise, ID!
The Sr Manager of Physician Services Quality and Education will work with St. Luke’s staff to provide coding education and consistency in documentation guidelines throughout the health system. You will help to develop a program that monitors and tracks education needs of the faculty and staff, develop and oversee processes for regular auditing, provide recommendations to reduce areas of risk, and work closely with Compliance in response to coding inquiries.
In this position, you will create processes to make sure the health system is closely monitoring the daily coding practices of our physicians and coders to promote compliant and quality documentation for the services billed. You will be responsible for establishing, implementing and continuously updating the coding education program for the department. You will participate in creating, updating and educating on coding policies that meet documentation guidelines, and you will be responsible to maintain current knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local coding regulations, Code of Conduct, and Integrity programs to ensure adherence to honesty, ethical and professional behavior. If you have excellent communication skills and can communicate report findings to senior leadership, this position is for you.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or 4 years equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
8 years’ related experience in medical coding, medical record documentation and auditing of medical records, preferably in multiple specialties.
At least 3 years in management, project management or other comparable work experience required.
AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification, including but not limited to CPC, CCS-P, CPC-H, CCS or RHIT.
Certification in Audit, HCC or E&M Coding preferred, but not required
