St. Luke’s Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead and support our team of pharmacy technicians. This full-time role is essential in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of pharmacy services. While final medication verification remains under pharmacist authority, this supervisor will oversee the daily productivity of technicians and be responsible for coordinating workflow, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Provide daily oversight, coordination, and guidance to pharmacy technicians as they compound, prepare, and process medications.
Monitor and prioritize workflow to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.
Offer training, coaching, and performance feedback to pharmacy technical staff.
Lead performance improvement activities and implement process enhancements.
Participate in hiring, evaluations, and corrective action processes in partnership with pharmacy leadership.
Create and manage technician work schedules to ensure consistent coverage and support.
Develop, implement, and maintain ongoing staff training and competency programs.
Ensure all assigned duties are completed by staff in compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards.
Serve as a liaison between pharmacy staff and leadership to resolve workflow issues and promote team communication.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years' experience as a pharmacy technician required.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid Pharmacy Technician Registration in the state of practice required.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage time, delegate effectively, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in pharmacy systems, inventory tools, and medication preparation practices
