St. Luke’s Children's Center for Neurobehavioral Medicine has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Therapist at our Children’s Rehab Clinic. Work in an outpatient setting, collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists to provide mental health services to children ages 3-18 with developmental disabilities and autism.
The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for identifying individual and family psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs and priorities for care through assessment, care planning, clinical interventions, education and evaluation of outcomes. The Mental Health Therapist provides counseling and support to alleviate stress, enhance functional coping abilities, minimize potential problems/barriers related to treatment and maximize opportunities for communication and problem-solving. Through documentation and oral communication, the Mental Health Therapist shares essential information with healthcare team members when appropriate.
