Perioperative 101 Overview

Wood River Operating Room (OR) team invites you to join us in grey scrubs and develop your nursing skills through our periop 101 training offered for this position.  You will be training with an OR team made up of interdisciplinary professionals that share a passion for surgery. As you delve into our world of bovies, instrument counts, scopes, steris beds, robots, sterility, intubation and so much more, you will find it is truly a privilege to be the patient advocate on their journey through the surgical experience.

  

What you can expect from this role

  • Schedule: 3 Teams consisting of 3 circulating RN’s and 3 Scrubs (RN’s or CST’) in a 3 week rotation. Work 40 M-F (0700-1530), Call Monday 7am- Monday 7am, Off 7, Work 40 hr M-F (0700-1530), etc. Weekday call starts at 1530 and ends at 0700. Weekend call is 24 hrs. 

 

Qualifications

  • Education: HS/GED
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
    • Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR Tech in Surgery - Certified (CST-NCCT) by National Center Competency Testing (NCCT)
