Director, Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Overview

 

St. Luke’s Health System is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director for the Office of the CIO to provide strategic, operational, and organizational leadership across the Integrated Health Technologies department.

 

This role partners closely with the VP, Chief Information Officer to ensure alignment of priorities, execution of strategic initiatives, and effective coordination across teams. The Director will serve as an integrator, connecting vision to action, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that technology efforts deliver measurable value to the health system and the communities we serve.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership & Alignment

  • Partner with the CIO to translate enterprise strategy into actionable technology priorities, programs, and measures of success.
  • Coordinate and track execution of IT strategic plans, goals, and major initiatives.
  • Support alignment and collaboration across IT leadership, ensuring shared focus and accountability.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day rhythm of the Office of the CIO, including key meetings, communications, dashboards, and decision-tracking.
  • Drive consistent project and portfolio visibility across all IHT functions (e.g., digital, analytics, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and applications).
  • Manage the development and delivery of key performance metrics and operational reporting to senior executives.
  • Partner with finance, HR, and communications teams to ensure effective planning, budgeting, and internal engagement.

Culture & Team Engagement

  • Champion a “One Team” culture that emphasizes collaboration, clarity, and accountability across IHT.
  • Support leadership development, engagement activities, and communication strategies that strengthen team connection to mission and purpose.

You’re equally comfortable in an executive briefing, a team huddle, or a technology deep dive, and always focused on connecting people and purpose through action.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience: 8 years relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
