Overview

The Patient Access Specialist 2 is responsible for responding to patient, provider, and department/service area needs with a high emphasis on customer service and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, registration, complex scheduling, referral coordination, benefit verification, preauthorization, order transcription and general inquiries from patients, providers and the general public.

 

This position would be cross-trained to support both our Mobile Mammography unit and Breast Health Clinic. 

 

Shift details: Flex positions cover shifts as needed with no guaranteed hours and a variable schedule. This position typically works between 8-31 hours every two weeks and is NOT eligible for benefits. Primary weekday shifts, but may require some weekends.

  • Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients
  • Community outreach
  • Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows
  • Serves as a role model, mentor, trainer and/or resource to coworkers
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications for this role: 

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year relevant experience.
