Overview

St. Luke’s Health Partners is a clinically integrated network with over 300,000 attributed members across Idaho. We are committed to advancing value-based care by improving outcomes, enhancing patient experience, and reducing costs through data-driven insights and actionable analytics.

Senior Population Health Analyst:

Support network performance, value-based contracts, and operational improvement initiatives across our clinically integrated network. A distinctive focus of this position will be to support specific payer contracting and reimbursement strategies through advanced data analysis, combining fee schedule management with analytic solutions that evaluate value-based care, risk-based contracts, and population health initiatives. Using SQL and enterprise data platforms, the analyst develops models, dashboards, and reports to monitor performance and deliver actionable insights in collaboration with Finance, Network Contracting, and Data & Analytics teams.

As a senior analyst, you will be expected to work independently, take ownership of key project components, and serve as a strategic and innovative partner to clinical integration leaders. Your efforts will help drive a collaborative; data-driven, high-performing organization aligned with St. Luke’s iCare values.

What You Can Expect:

  • Maintain and update fee-for-service fee schedules to ensure consistency and accuracy in network operations and value-based arrangements.
  • Perform complex analysis using claims, clinical, and operational data to model the financial and operational impacts of reimbursement changes. Leverage SQL and enterprise data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) to query, transform, and validate large healthcare datasets.
  • Conduct post-claims audits for accuracy and compliance with network fee schedules and policies.
  • Analyze reimbursement practices, policies, and procedures to optimize reimbursement activities. Track and communicate industry updates that impact payments.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage analytic solutions that support value-based care programs, risk-based contracts, and population health initiatives. Provide analysis to inform payer and provider contracting decisions and organizational strategy.
  • Support network performance monitoring by identifying cost, quality, reimbursement and utilization trends across providers, facilities, and service lines.
  • Provide reporting and ad-hoc analyses of reimbursement impacts to support financial forecasting, contract negotiations, and network performance monitoring. Present findings clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, Finance, and Data & Analytics teams to deliver strategic insights and inform decision-making. Contribute to a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and analytic best practices.
  • Demonstrate ownership of technical project components and understand how assigned work contributes to broader organizational goals.
  • Document methodologies and business considerations associated with analytic work
  • Deliver clear and well-developed presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 years' relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MPH in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
  • Experience or strong interest in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience working in Azure-based environments (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse) and with Databricks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools (Power BI, Excel, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, ACOs, and/or bundled payments.
