What You Can Expect:

  • Exempt status role
  • Supervisor over Security Access Specialists in Meridian
  • The Supervisor Security will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services. This role acts a liaison between customers, operation Managers, and security officers.

    • Leads and directs the work of employees. Responsible for the employee life cycle (selecting, onboarding, developing, assessing performance, managing personnel issues, and offboarding). Provides and monitors ongoing training of staff.

    • Attend hospital-based meetings to receive patient-related information.

    • Responds to clinical and non-clinical staff inquiries regarding safety concerns, addresses, issues, and formulates resolutions.

    • Leads and collaborates with Emergency Management to plan and conduct regular Security drills.

    • Effectively administers policies governing security or other related/operations.

    • Evaluates operations with leadership for effectiveness and determines needs for additional security staffing.

    • Responsible for budgeting, minimizing overtime and other costs during shift; ensures expense and materials used are within budget guidelines.

    • Reviews all security reports recorded by Security Officers.

    • Handles complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level leaders. Escalates communication through proper chain in command.

    • Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and serves as a point of contact for situations requiring their support and services.

    • May perform duties of subordinates to ensure adequate coverage.

    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

       

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 4 years relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license and proof of driver's insurance

This role is subject to St. Luke's driving policy, which requires individuals in this role to not have a record of certain driving-related offenses within the past three (3) years, including but not limited to: Suspension of License, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless or Negligent Driving...

If hired, St. Luke's will conduct a driving records check upon hire and continuously thereafter for individuals hired into this role. Individuals will be required to maintain a valid, current driver's license.
