St. Luke's is recruiting for our widely known Nursing Apprenticeship Program (SNAP)!
This employment experience will provide you with the opportunity to expand your nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills while working in direct patient care alongside experienced nursing professionals.
SNAP is designed to provide a supportive, positive, acute care experience for students to apply critical thinking and nursing knowledge while functioning in the role of a nurse apprentice. The purpose is to build relationships, gain knowledge and exposure to the benefits of a nursing career at St. Luke's Health System.
Two pathways to choose:
Positions could be unit-based, or float pool (travels to Boise, Meridian, and Nampa Hospitals)
Time Commitment:
Full time – May 2026 - July 2026 (10-15 weeks depending on what school you attend)
Flex schedule – August 2026 – May 2027 (One-Two 12 hour shift a month until you graduate depending on what school you attend)

Career Pathing – Go from SNAP to STAR!
Once you have completed your first year as a SNAP, you would apply and interview for a New Graduate RN position and join our STAR Nurse Residency Program. All new graduate RNs attend STAR Residency classes 1x a month for a year. This is a nice compliment to help you transition from a student nurse to successfully taking a full patient load.
