Overview

St. Luke’s is looking for a Social Worker to join our CARES- ( Child At Risk Evaluation Services) Team in our strategy to be the community’s trusted partner in providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

 

The Social Worker is responsible for identifying patient and family psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs and priorities for care through assessment, care planning, clinical interventions, forensic interviewing, education and evaluation of outcomes.  The MSW provides emotional counseling and support to alleviate stress, enhance functional coping abilities, minimize potential problems/barriers related to the medical diagnosis or treatment and maximize opportunities for communication, problem-solving, adjustment to illness (acute or chronic) and complex discharge needs.  Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with the health care team members and other customers common to the unit/area(s) of assignment. 

 

Required Criteria 

  • Master's degree in social work from a school of social work approved by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • Maintain Current LMSW or LCSW licensure in Idaho.

 

Preferred Criteria

  • Background through education and/or experience working within social work.
