St. Luke’s Breast Care Services is evolving our scheduling model to better support both clinical accuracy and patient experience. This role shifts work that has become increasingly clinical from centralized scheduling to a dedicated Medical Assistant, providing critical administrative and clinical coordination across our breast care programs in McCall and Magic Valley.
This position plays a key role in ensuring orders are accurate, patients are scheduled appropriately, and breast care protocols are applied consistently across the system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and excels in customer service while working in a clinically adjacent, administrative-focused role.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
What to expect:
• Transcribing and validating provider orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Calling patients to schedule breast care services for McCall and Magic Valley
• Providing high-touch customer service and patient education throughout the scheduling process
• Supporting the transition to a standardized “super order” and assisting with system-wide implementation
• Reviewing radiology recommendation reports and determining appropriate next steps based on established breast care protocols
• Partnering closely with clinical teams, radiology, and scheduling to ensure consistent workflows
• Ensuring compliance with breast care guidelines, protocols, and documentation standards
This role is well suited for a Medical Assistant who enjoys administrative work, understands clinical workflows, and takes pride in precision, communication, and patient-centered service.
Qualifications
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program
Experience
• Experience in a clinical or administrative medical assistant role
• Prior experience with scheduling, radiology, or women’s health strongly preferred
Certifications
• Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current recognized national Medical Assistant certification (NCCT, NAHP, AMT, AAMA, AMCA, or NHA)
