Overview

At St. Luke’s, our Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care by supporting providers and ensuring a seamless clinic experience. Join our Nephrology Clinic team, where you’ll work in a low-volume, specialty setting that emphasizes detailed, thoughtful care and strong one-on-one collaboration with providers.

This role is well suited for a highly self-motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys working independently, values precision, and thrives in a calm, structured environment. Providers typically see patients in 30-minute appointment slots, with approximately 10 minutes between patients, allowing time for thorough rooming, documentation, and patient support.

Schedule (4×10s):
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Wednesday off, providing excellent work-life balance
• Some travel required for orientation and training

What You Can Expect:
• Rooming patients and working closely with providers in a one-on-one model
• Supporting detailed, specialty-focused patient visits
• Assisting with limited in-basket tasks as needed
• Managing responsibilities independently while maintaining strong communication with the care team

Preferred Experience
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a specialty clinic or outpatient setting
• Experience working independently in a low-volume, provider-facing role
• Familiarity with in-basket workflows and electronic medical records

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
