Transitions to Specialty Care (TSP), New Grad Registered Nurse
This program is a fast-track program designed to prepare the graduate Registered Nurse for practice in specialized care areas. It is the goal of this two year program to develop future nursing talent for St. Luke’s.
The Transitions to Specialty Practice (TSP) Program was developed by St. Luke’s Magic Valley to prepare new graduate registered nurses who seek to specialize in emergency nursing. Through this exciting pilot, up to 3 newly graduated registered nurses will be provided with an immersion experience in either the Emergency Department to acclimate to these intense specialty area of nursing. The graduate nurses will be hired full time in these units with benefits commensurate to their education and experience. This experiential learning includes focused didactic content, exposure to subject matter experts and the inter-professional care team members, precepted clinical shifts, and completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
New Graduate of an accredited nursing program within the past 6 months - ASN or BSN considered. ACEN – Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing, CCNE – Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education)
Idaho Nursing License by program start date of mid-February 2018
Successfully pass all new employee pre-screening health requirements
