St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting opportunity for a Coding Quality Specialist to join our Physician Services Coding team in Boise, ID!
The Coding Quality Specialist will work with St. Luke’s staff to provide coding education and consistency in documentation guidelines throughout the health system. You will help to develop a program that monitors and tracks education needs of the faculty and staff, develop and oversee processes for regular auditing, provide recommendations to reduce areas of risk, and work closely with Compliance in response to coding inquiries.
In this position, you will foster relationships with physicians, leadership, clinic leaders, and coders throughout the system to ensure the health system is closely monitoring the daily coding practices of our physicians and coders and promote compliant and quality documentation for the services billed. You will participate in creating, updating and educating on coding policies that meet documentation guidelines, and you will be responsible to maintain current knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local coding regulations, Code of Conduct, and Integrity programs to ensure adherence to honesty, ethical and professional behavior.
Education: Associate's degree in Health Information Management, 2 years in lieu of degree
Experience: 5 years relevant experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Must have at least one of the following credentials: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CPC (Certified Professional Coder).
Coding education experience.
Experience partnering with different groups and collaborating with leadership and staff.
