    Body Worker - Occupational Health & Well-Being

    Under the direction of the Program/Department Manager, the Body Worker is responsible for providing therapeutic massage, reflexology or other bodywork to systematically manipulate the body's soft tissue. Movements such as rubbing, kneading, pressing, rolling, slapping, and tapping are utilized to promote circulation of the blood and lymph, relaxation of muscles, relief of pain, restoration of metabolic balance, and other benefits both physical and mental.

     

    Required Criteria 

     

    • Graduate of an accredited school of massage therapy/reflexology or other body work program.
    • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment including current CPR certification.
    • National certification from the Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Certification Board or American Reflexology Certification Board preferred.
