  • Overview

    Our Outpatient Coding team is looking for a trauma registry coder. As a coder, you are responsible for reviewing charges and codes submitted for data entry to ensure codes are in accordance with current principles of ICD-9-CM, CPT and HCPCS guidelines. You will review notations, diagnosis, or procedure information in medical record to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of codes.

    Required Criteria
    Education: Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field, 2 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
    Experience: 4 years relevant experience
    Licenses/Certifications: Must have at least one of the following credentials: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CPC (Certified Professional Coder), or CCA (Certified Coding Associate).
