    Job Summary

    The Clinical Application Specialist serves the St. Luke's Health System by working with clinical providers to increase their utilization of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other technology tools, through the development of personal preferences and templates to enhance the providers' workflow within the EMR and within SLHS. Using EMR application and information technology background, the Clinical Application Specialist conducts needs assessments, develops training tools, manages deliverables and schedules and executes sessions to achieve optimal usage of EMR application technology.  Works with inside/outside vendors to provide supplemental training programs to physicians and other clinical/information services staff as needed.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Associates degree or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience, preferably in physician or healthcare-related setting, or electronic health records and EMR technology utilization preferred. 
    Preferred Qualifications

    Certification, licensure or education in healthcare or information technology preferred.

    6 months experience with an electronic health record strongly preferred.  Experience with Epic preferred.

    Experience in instructional design, education, training or experience with managing customer relations, including calling on clients/customers for the purpose of problem-solving, training and building long term relationships preferred.
