    System Engineer  – Wireless

    This is an IT System Engineer - Wireless position which will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and managing the St. Luke’s wireless network infrastructure. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

    • Knowledge and experience with Cisco wireless lan controllers, access points, routers and switches
    • Perform site surveys and assessments to identify areas for improvement and perform necessary troubleshooting
    • Ability to perform troubleshooting of network issues including wireless connectivity, VoIP, routing, switching
    • Provide timely and accurate operational support.
    • Create and maintain end-to-end network documentation
    • Ability to manage several complex tasks/projects simultaneously
    • Good understanding of radio frequency and how it affects wireless communications

    Preferred Criteria:

    • Understands fundamentals of networking, including the OSI model, segmentation, routing, and common protocols and concepts
    • Knowledge on how to configure firewalls to define zones and policies.
    • Knowledge and experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Cisco Prime Infrastructure
    • Network scripting experience (ie. Python, TCL, etc.)
    • Work with preferred vendors to identify and assist in the selection of technology solutions.
    • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (R&S, Wireless)


    Required Criteria:

    • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree 
    • Minimum of two years' experience in an IT engineering role
