St. Luke’s is currently accepting applications for our Medical Assistant - Training Program. The MA in training is responsible for providing technical/clinical/clerical support to licensed provider and/or physician.
Education: High School/GED Diploma
This is an entry level Medical Assistant position. No MA experience is required. The MA will be oriented to skills and tasks within initial scope of practice (determined by experience/training level). On-the-job training will be provided as the MA supports the clinic, and paid study time each week (4 hours/week) will be provided with additional study time expected outside of working hours. The MA will advance as competence increases with studies and hands-on experience. After approximately 9-12 months, the MA will sit for the credentialing exam, and be eligible to support our clinics in a Credentialed MA role.
