  • Overview

    St. Luke’s has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Therapist! Work in an inpatient hospital setting and collaborate with primary care providers and other allied health professionals to provide short-term therapy, crisis intervention, discharge planning and care plan development and management.
     

    The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for identifying individual and family psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs and priorities for care through assessment, care planning, clinical interventions, education and evaluation of outcomes. The Mental Health Therapist provides counseling and support to alleviate stress, enhance functional coping abilities, minimize potential problems/barriers related to treatment and maximize opportunities for communication and problem-solving. Through documentation and oral communication, the Mental Health Therapist shares essential information with healthcare team members when appropriate.

     

    Required Criteria

    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or similar from an appropriately recognized institution of higher learning.
    • Maintain current state of practice licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC or LMFT.
    • Experience in a clinical practice environment providing mental health assessments, care planning, and counseling preferred.
