St. Luke's is looking for a Dietetic Technician to join our team!
The Dietetic Technician 1, under supervision, promote health through proper nutrition by providing personalized services to meet patient’s needs.
-Conducts and documents comprehensive nutrition screenings of patients, including obtaining and evaluating individuals’ dietary histories, to support the development of individualized nutritional programs and determine nutrition acuity.
-Guides patients in food selection, based upon nutritional needs, patient preferences and therapeutic guidelines.
-Observes patient food intake and reports progress and nutrition problems to registered dietitian.
-May supervise food production or service or assists dietitians in food service supervision.
-Consults with other healthcare professionals regarding the dietary modifications or restrictions that will best promote patient health and fit in with other treatment methods for conditions, illnesses and disease.
-Acts as a liaison between Food and Nutrition services and patients to resolve food and service issues.
-Handles basic issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Shift: Monday-Friday (7am to 330pm)
