Unit/Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the IHT Cyber Security Analyst 3 develops and manages security for more than one IHT functional area.


  • Manages all aspects of cyber security policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Regularly reviews firewall rules for adherence to standards. Collaborates with Network team to evaluate firewall rule exceptions. Ensures network security throughout the network – core, distribution, edge, wireless, wired, cloud.
  • Ensures that IHT security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with cyber security standards and best practices.
  • Actively participates in Incident Response activities. Investigates and resolves security incidents using sound forensics principles and drives enhancements to improve security, effectiveness, and response time.
  • Evaluates and tests enterprise on-premise and cloud solutions to identify possible cyber security impacts.
  • Evaluates requests for cyber security exceptions to policies, standards, baselines, and procedures.
  • Conducts cyber security risk assessments. Develops risk assessment reporting. Actively participates in audits to determine whether our policies, standards and baselines are being followed.
  • Handles complex issues and problems. Collaborates with Cyber Security and other IT teams. Consults on the most complex issues with senior level staff.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to junior level staff; may act as a "lead" or first-level supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Education: Bachelors' degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: 4 years’ experience.
