Overview

Our Inpatient Coding team is looking for a part time level 2 Coding Specialist with inpatient hospital coding experience. The Inpatient Coding Specialist will collect data in compliance with the appropriate laws, regulations, standards, and policies, supporting the hospital mission of ensuring the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

 

Please note, this is NOT a remote position and requires residence in the state of Idaho.

 

Required Criteria
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 1 year of hospital or medical office coding experience required
3. Must have at least one of the following credentials: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), or any other American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) coding credential, or any other American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) coding credential. The CCA (Certified Coding Associate). , and CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder – Apprentice) certifications are excluded from satisfying this requirement.

Preferred Criteria
Previous Inpatient Hospital Coding experience strongly preferred
