The Performance Improvement Coordinator for Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for advancing quality outcomes and improving safety by facilitating the work of improvement teams. This particular position will serve as subject matter expert on the structure of improvement science as it is applied in the real-word setting. This individual also consults with leaders on data-driven improvement opportunities and makes recommendations for improvement approaches. Through collaborative interaction with staff, leaders, and physicians, they will guide teams in improvement work. Leads or participates in select committees and quality improvement projects, compiles and distributes reports, and provides education programs as necessary. Knowledge of the science of quality improvement is very valuable. Mature ability to form positive relationships is essential. Within 18 months of hire, candidate will need to achieve Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.
