Overview

Supervisor, Environmental Services/Laundry

St. Luke’s Health System in Ketchum, ID is seeking a Supervisor – Environmental Services/Laundry to join our team.

 

            This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus

 

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be a working supervisor responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and coordination of department according to assigned scope. This is a full-time role, supervising a team of 15+ employees – previous supervisory experience is highly preferred. This supervisor will need to have scheduling flexibility to cover days, weekends and nights based on operational need.  If you are action oriented with a drive for process and can work independently leading a strong, productive team - this role is for you.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the environmental services operations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff. Select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff. Works with staff to promote resolution of conflict and counsels staff when standards are not met.
  • Assists with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels to remain compliant with department budget.
  • Identify problems and potential solutions to ensure department efficiency.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining adequate department supplies.
  • Oversees the department’s safety and quality standards for staff to include regulatory compliance.
  • Accountable for efficiency, productivity, quality and financial performance.
  • May assist in the hiring process.
  • Makes recommendations and assists with developing policies and procedures for the department.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4 years’s relevant experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.
