Overview

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Director Volunteers to join our Volunteer Program team.

 

Unit/Position Summary

Director Volunteers is responsible for the infrastructure, growth and overall direction of the organization's volunteer program, including at the system level as necessary. Key areas of focus include leadership of volunteer staff and volunteers to remain a leader in the provision of volunteer services, strategic planning for the recruitment and retention of volunteers to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Evaluates requests for volunteer services and develops programs, which respond to the organization's needs.
  • Develops plans and goals for the effective use of volunteers as supplemental help for the organization's staff.
  • Develop, monitor and manage within an established budget.
  • Directs the activities of the volunteer and gift shop staff.
  • Acts as liaison with all parties affected by volunteer services including the Auxiliary Board as ex-officio board member.
  • Prepare annual reports, administer and monitor expenditures for the volunteer program.
  • Develop, administer, and review policies and procedures which guide the volunteer programs and services, and reflect the overall values of the organization.
  • Assist with conflict resolution among clients, staff and volunteers according to established procedures.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience: 6 years relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
