Overview

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Solutions Architect – Emerging Technologies to join our Emerging Technologies team.

The Solutions Architect – Emerging Technologies plays a critical role in advancing healthcare innovation and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and demonstrating innovative solutions that transform clinical care, enhance operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and support the organization's long-term strategic goals.

This technology-focused position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and demonstrating the art of the possible in healthcare. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, possesses a strategic vision for the future of healthcare, and is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to elevate St. Luke's performance and patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitors the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and healthcare innovations to future-proof St. Luke’s technology solutions.
  • Collaborates with clinicians, business stakeholders, business analysts, architects and engineers to define forward-thinking technical requirements, principles, and models that guide the development of innovative solutions in healthcare technology.
  • Leads in defining the principles to guide solution decisions for the organization.
  • Designs and leads the implementation of solution architecture based on business requirements and organization strategies, providing both strategic insight and hands-on technical expertise to elevate healthcare delivery.
  • Evaluates and contributes to the selection of new technologies, as well as the design of standard software and hardware configurations.
  • Leads resolutions related to problems with systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Champions the use of repeatable processes for solution development and evaluation, leveraging patterns, best practices, and a deep understanding of emerging healthcare technologies.
  • Works on highly complex organization-wide projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple of the specialized architecture domains: business architecture, information architecture, security architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture; proven expert in architectural practices across multiple specialized architecture domains including business architecture, information architecture, security architecture, application portfolio and technical architecture.
  • Approves and modifies designs and architectures by reviewing solutions architectures, end-user topology, security, and performance and interoperability requirements; provides recommendations and actionable plans for proposed initiatives based on business relevance, appropriate timing and complexities.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience: 4 years relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
