What You Can Expect:

The Shared Services Assistant 1 is responsible for providing support in the function areas of Accounting/Finance including payroll, accounts payable, finance, accounting, grants and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.

Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for assisting in general accounts payable functions.

  • Prepares invoices and requisitions for payment.
  • Reviews and prioritizes invoices according to contractual agreements with vendors.
  • Performs account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing to balances. Accounting, Finance, or Grants: Accounting, Finance, or Grants Assistant is responsible for assisting in general accounting, finance, grant functions, applying accepted procedures and prepares reports to ensure accurate accounting/finance records.
  • Performs entry-level accounting, finance, or grant activities.
  • Prepares and keeps financial and business transactions up-to-date, applying accepted procedures.
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals.
  • May proofread and post operations progress or other reports and make a monthly summary or recap of such reports as needed.
  • May type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  • Under direct supervision provides clerical/administrative support in one or more functional areas.
  • Performs standardized and routine clerical tasks. Compiles, files, and maintains personnel records.
  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
  • May audit and proof reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental and company regulations.
  • Assists in special projects.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
