Overview

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a part-time Library Specialist to join our Library team. The schedule for this position is either: Monday through Thursday 8am to 1pm or Monday through Friday 8am to noon.

 

Unit/Position Summary

The Library Specialist supports the daily functions of various library programs, including assisting providers, clinicians, and support staff with their library resource needs; supporting library resource management systems; providing prepared education sessions; and promoting library resources.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and quality customer service; researches and responds to problems, questions, and issues/opportunities from employees and all levels of leadership with recommendations and solutions.
  • Supports library education and outreach programs.
  • Responsible for article delivery, circulation, and interlibrary loan services.
  • May provide prepared education on basic information retrieval topics.
  • Assists in maintaining the physical library space.
  • Educates patrons on library policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree OR 2 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: 2 years of experience, including computer software skills and specifically with Microsoft platforms
  • Licenses/Certifications: None

 

Additional Experience: Experience working in a library or healthcare setting.
