Overview

St. Luke’s is looking for a Cardiac Sonographer to join us in our strategy to be the community’s trusted partner in providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

 

The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic testing and echocardiography, doppler, flow analysis, color flow mapping and M-mode on adult and pediatric patients suspected of having cardiac disease. The Echo Technologist performs appropriate procedures using protocols, knowledge and understanding to provide uniform and age-appropriate care for patients. The Cardiac Sonographer obtains diagnostic information and provides necessary reports for the referring physician, medical director, HIM, and Echo Lab files.

Become a member of a dedicated team of Cardiac Sonographers, providing services for 15 different sites within Idaho including outreach to physician clinics and community hospitals. A patient-oriented mindset, strong critical thinking skills, and flexibility within a dynamic and challenging environment are all necessary to be a successful Cardiac Sonographer at St. Luke’s. 

Required Criteria 

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDSC), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or registry eligible according to the ARDMS or CCI standards. Must pass the exam within 12 months from date of hire.
  • Current CPR certification
