The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for identifying and reporting patient needs through data collection, planning, intervention and evaluation and delivery of appropriate care according to nursing standards and professional practice as outlined by the nurse practice act for LPN's. Collection of data is via interview, observation, auscultation and palpation. Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and other customers common to the unit/area(s) of assignment.

    Required Criteria 

    • Graduation from a School of Licensed Practical Nursing with current LPN licensure from Idaho.
    • This position requires the AHA Healthcare Provider CPR Certification.

    • LPN and/or CNA work experience

     

    About the Ambulatory Clinic Ahead Program:

    St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting new opportunity for Credentialed Medical Assistants and LPNs to participate in our Ambulatory Clinical Ahead Program.

     

    The 90-day program will provide additional preceptorship and training resources for new Medical Assistants and LPNs. Your work location will vary based on clinic staffing needs and preceptor availability.

    Goal for the Program:

    • Continuing education and training opportunities for new Medical Assistants
    • Introduction to a variety of clinics with areas of expertise:

    Family Health

    Internal Medicine

    Specialty (Pediatrics, OB-GYN, Rheumatology, Cardiology, etc.)

    • Opportunity to be placed in clinic location and/or field of your choice

     

    Shift/Schedule:

    • Full-time days
    • Must be flexible to work occasional weekend and holidays as needed
    • Benefits eligibility the first of the month following date of employment
