HR Benefits Assistant – Temporary


The HR Assistant 1 is responsible for general clerical and support responsibilities within the Human Resource Department. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to meeting and greeting visitors to the Human Resources Department and directing them to the appropriate offices, answering telephone calls, data entry, identifying and assisting visitor’s needs while being able to quickly troubleshoot and multitask.  Applies knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources. Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reports to supervisor or manager and is an individual contributor.


Required Criteria 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Preferred Criteria

  • 1 or more years of previous office experience
  • Intermediate software knowledge/skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook/e-mail program).
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication..
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.
  • Ability to handle detail, multiple tasks, and short notice deadlines.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to manage conflict, work under pressure, and diffuse potentially stressful situations.
