We are seeking a part-time Nursing Supervisor to share oversight responsibilities over the St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinical staff in Meridian with a shared leadership model. This is a new structure, shared with another fantastic nursing supervisor. The nursing supervisors will share leadership responsibilities in clinical oncology and chemo infusion. You would be joining a patient focused, collaborative, and creative leadership team!

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute clinics are MAGNET-certified, dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. What you can expect from this role

  • Part-time (0.6 FTE): 3 days a week - no nights or weekends!
  • Schedule: 0800-1630
  • Certification pay (ex. OCN)
  • Sign-on bonus & relocation assistance eligible for new hires!
  • Responsible for managing staff, overseeing patient care, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership, guidance, counseling, and continuing education to staff
  • Select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff
  • Work with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsel staff when clinical practice standards are not met
  • Assist with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Collaborate with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes
  • Serve as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift
  • Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements
  • Assist with budget planning and clinical needs assessments

 

Minimum qualifications for this role

  • Education: Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree
  • Experience: Three (3) + years’ relevant RN experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Preferred: Oncology experience, OCN certification, and/or Leadership experience
