What you can expect as Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation Clinical Program Coordinator:

 

St. Luke’s Hemophilia Center is the only federally funded bleeding disorder treatment center in Idaho.  It is its own department embedded within the St. Luke’s Children’s Cancer Institute, and this position will work alongside an interdisciplinary team providing collaborative care across the lifespan. It is a unique mixture of micro (direct practice), mezzo (Idaho community events) and macro (regional & national) interactions.

  • As a core member of the Hemophilia Clinic, the Hemophilia Physical Therapist partificiaptes in regularly held meetings and planning.  These may include:
    • Clinical education
    • Community education
    • Regional/national work groups and grant projects
  • Work in a life span clinic treating all bleeding disorders
  • Work 50% of the time with patients (direct/indirect) to include evaluation and assessment for those at risk of musculoskeletal complications from their bleeding disorder.
  • Support a patient populating of approximately 60% adult and 40% pediatric
  • Opportunity for professional growth and development through speciality training (MSKUS)

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree from an Accredited Program
  • Experience: 3 years relevant experience
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid license to practice physical therapy in state of practice AND
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Program management experience
