Our Inpatient Palliative Care Social Worker will work, in tandem, with a provider to provide consults as needed at our Nampa location.
Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious, progressive, often life limiting illness. This type of care is focused on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of the illness, to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family. Examples of serious illness often seen by a palliative care team include all types of cancer, end stage organ disease (e.g., heart, lung, liver, kidney), dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and other progressive neurological disorders.
