As a Medication Historian Technician (MHT), you will join our Transitions of Care Pharmacy team and be a part of the growing trend of pharmacy technician specialists, leading the way to better patient health outcomes. Join a team that is highly respected and critical to health of our patients!

 

We are seeking several MHT's to work from our Virtual Care Center, located at the St. Luke's Plaza to connect with patients admitted at any of our medical centers in the Treasure Valley. 

  • Shifts are variable - currently 8-hour shifts, 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (subject to change)

What You Can Expect

  • Practice at the top of your license
  • Expand your skill set and grow your pharmacy functionality
  • Combine clinical pharmacy practice with advanced patient care processes
  • Actively participate in staff meetings for the purpose of disseminating information and monitoring staff needs, concerns and suggestions
  • Work independently with great accuracy and attention to detail
  • Identify patients being admitted through the emergency department and other points of entry
  • Gather information about patients' medications directly from the patient or their family in a manner that is professional, utilizing excellent patient interviewing skills
    • Collect and compile a complete list of patient’s home medications including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements including drug name, dosage, frequency, reason for use and last dose taken
  • Consistently provide superior service by responding to physician and staff consults and/or patient and family requests
  • Input all medication history information into the electronic health record
  • Keep record of all work processed for intervention tracking and reporting

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) + years' pharmacy technician experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
