The Service Line Administrator for Surgical Subspecialties is accountable for the operational effectiveness of General and Acute Care Surgery, Plastics and Reconstruction, Breast Surgery, Bariatrics, ENT, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology throughout the health system.

 

In dyad partnership with the System Service Line Medical Director, the Administrator will design, develop and implement the Service Line’s vision and strategy, innovating new programs that will drive the best possible outcomes at the lowest total cost of care, while facilitating variation reduction efforts across the health system. In collaboration with nursing and other service line leadership the Administrator will promote continuous clinical excellence and exceptional patient experience throughout the continuum of care. 

 

What You Can Expect:

  • Serve as the accountable administrative leader for all elements of performance within the Service Line.
  • Lead staff and providers (St. Luke's Clinic and Independent Providers) in the Service Line to achieve ever-improving clinical outcomes at the lowest total cost of care, including measures set annually by the organization.
  • Partner with quality leadership to assure care continues to progress toward our goal of becoming a highly reliable organization, with input to the development of appropriate data sets to guide performance in quality and safety areas; assures appropriate accreditation standards are met or exceeded in the clinics under the Service Line.
  • Collaborate and partner with other Service Line leaders, Division and Facility leadership, and System leaders, consistent with the organization's operating and governance model, to ensure services are provided in a consistent, efficient, and patient-centric fashion, designed to produce the best outcomes at the lowest total cost of care.
  • Partner with the System Medical Director and nursing leadership in the recruitment and retention of excellent providers, Service Line, and clinic staff.
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the Service Line.
  • Demonstrates the values and behaviors of St. Luke's leadership, inspiring constituents to achieve ever-improving patient-centered care outcomes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 12 years’ experience relevant to healthcare operations and the service line. Prior leadership experience required.
