We are looking for a Meds-to-Beds Pharmacy Technician to work in our Nampa Medical Center on the Evening (Swing) shift. You will work 4:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., Monday-Friday

What You Can Expect

Meds-to-Beds Techs fulfill medications for our patients preparing to discharge to be able to take home and eliminating the time wasted going to the pharmacy after discharge.

  • Work in a dynamic environment with other interdepartmental disciplines, such as providers, nurses, and other health system personnel

  • Learn and expand your pharmacy skills with opportunities to advance into leadership and pharmacy business positions

  • Opportunities to precept pharmacy tech apprentices, as well as techs new to St. Luke's
  • Receive certification pay for PTCB Adv. Certification

What You Will Do

  • Medication preparation and dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense medications for patients transitioning from hospital to home
  • Insurance and Prior Authorizations: Resolve insurance issues by verifying patient coverage, processing claims, and handling denials
  • 340B Program Management: Understand and manage 340B program requirements, ensuring compliance with program regulations and providing medication access for eligible patients
  • Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Collaborate with hospital discharge teams and physicians for accurate medication orders and timely deliveries
  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date records of Meds-to-Beds metrics

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician license

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Two (2) + years' retail pharmacy experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
