We are seeking a dynamic Research Finance Budget Analyst to join our team!

 

St. Luke’s is excited to invite a Research Finance Budget Analyst to join our team! This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the dynamic field of clinical research, where your expertise will directly impact the progress of drug and device treatments that improve and save lives.

 

As part of our team, you'll play a key role in managing billing and cost determination for clinical trials, ensuring accurate and compliant research billing, and working closely with clinical teams to navigate National Coverage Determination and the CMS Clinical Trial Policy.

What You Can Expect

  • Be the go-to expert for clinical trial budget negotiations, using your extensive knowledge of internal expenses and policies to strike the perfect balance between sponsor needs and our financial goals.
  • Lead the negotiation and analysis of budgets for industry-sponsored, non-oncology clinical trials.
  • Develop detailed coverage analysis and billing grids to ensure the correct payers (Medicare, third-party payers, or internal accounts) are assigned for trial-related services, utilizing the latest resources to back up these decisions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with diverse internal teams—including physicians, leadership, Regulatory/Compliance, and Research Finance—while maintaining professional and effective communication with external sponsors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Three (3) years' relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Clinical Research Billing and/or Billing Compliance
  • Experience with Epic (electronic health records system)
  • A demonstrated understanding of Research Billing Compliance including National Coverage Determination for coverage of routine costs and the CMS Clinical Trial Policy
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and CPT Codes
  • Experience with electronic Clinical Trial Management Systems
