What You Can Expect:

The St. Luke’s Library delivers high-quality, timely information services to support evidence-based decision-making across the health system. This role oversees library operations, managing two physical libraries and a team of four. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospital libraries, knowledgeable in health sciences librarianship, and committed to aligning resources with clinical and business needs through collaboration.

  • Leads and manages medical library services, ensuring access to knowledge-based resources for physicians, clinicians, and employees.
  • Plans and oversees library operations, budgets, strategic initiatives, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Designs and delivers outreach, education, and expert search services to enhance information literacy and resource utilization.
  • Develops and mentors library staff, managing hiring, training, evaluations, and performance.
  • Evaluates and enhances library resources, services, and spaces to meet user needs effectively.
  • Builds strong relationships with executives, physicians, and clinical teams while providing both on-site and virtual support.
 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in library science from an ALA program with an emphasis on medical librarianship, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in medical library administration.
  • Experience: 4 year's experience
