Overview

Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our cyber resiliency initiatives, focusing on preparing the health system for cybersecurity incident response and ensuring operational continuity during network disruptions and extended downtimes. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, healthcare operations, and project management. The intern will work closely with project teams to enhance the health system's preparedness and resiliency against cyber events. Additionally, the intern will have opportunities to interact with all Cyber Security teams to gain insight into protection, defense, and risk processes, as well as specialized security tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage meeting materials, including agendas, presentations, and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings by coordinating logistics and compiling relevant data.
  • Contribute to the development of project deliverables and products related to cyber resiliency.
  • Provide insights and feedback to support project goals and objectives.
  • Build an understanding of healthcare operations while fostering collaborative relationships across teams.
  • Analyze healthcare workflows and map them to technology solutions, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity strategies.
  • Support the development of incident response and continuity playbooks tailored to extended downtime scenarios.

 

Qualifications / Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-driven, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and connect them to technological and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other collaboration tools.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and healthcare systems with a willingness to learn about industry-specific challenges.
  • Organization, communication, teamwork, flexibility, creativity, and outside-the-box thinking.
