Overview

As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a vital role in our dedicated team, working under direct supervision to implement infection prevention programs and practices tailored to our specific settings and populations served.


Travel Requirement:
This role requires travel as needed across the state of Idaho to various clinic and hospital locations.

 

What You Can Expect as an Infection Preventionist:
• Implement and monitor infection prevention programs.
• Conduct surveillance, report findings, and assist with outbreak investigations.
• Design and deliver educational programs to enhance infection prevention.
• Perform risk assessments and develop action plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and other regulations.
• Analyze data to identify trends and support improvement projects.
• Apply cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization best practices.
• Collaborate with public health organizations to address infection control needs.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in:
• Infection Prevention
• Healthcare settings: Inpatient, Post-Acute, or Ambulatory
• Microbiology or Laboratory


Preferred Certifications:
• A-IPC, CIC, LTC-CIP

 

Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: 1 year preferred.
