Overview

St. Luke’s Clinic is seeking a Director of Patient Access to lead, optimize, and transform patient access operations across our ambulatory teams. This pivotal role is responsible for supporting strategy, and leading the execution and continuous improvement of our patient access functions, including registration, referral management, scheduling, and insurance verification processes.

 

What You Can Expect: 

  • Lead & Execute Strategy – Develop and implement best practices to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Operational Leadership – Oversee daily patient access functions, ensuring seamless registration, scheduling, and insurance verification processes.
  • Technology & Innovation – Maximize the use of Epic, MyChart, and other digital tools to drive automation and improve the patient experience.
  • Process Improvement – Modernize and streamline scheduling models aligned to policies and best practices.
  • Collaboration & Leadership – Partner with clinical and operational teams revenue cycle, and shared service partners, to ensure alignment and improve patient and staff experience and improve front-end revenue cycle outcomes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track success, analyze trends, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Talent Development – Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • 8 years' relevant experience

  • Extensive experience in patient access leadership and front-end revenue cycle operations.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic execution, change management, and process optimization.
  • Strong expertise in Epic, MyChart, and healthcare technology-driven improvements.
  • Experience managing large teams and leading operational restructuring initiatives.
  • Ability to identify barriers, craft solutions, and drive sustainable performance improvements.
